What is Invisalign?
The Invisalign concept is based on what are known as aligners. These are clear, removable plastic trays that you wear over your teeth to straighten them. The plastic aligners used in Invisalign are custom-made to fit your teeth perfectly and therefore fit over your teeth like a second skin. To help your teeth reach a predetermined position with Invisalign, you’ll wear a series of aligners throughout the treatment period, each one tailored to your current dental situation. Through the controlled pressure applied by the Invisalign aligners to your teeth, your teeth gradually move into their corrected positions. This makes Invisalign one of the most popular methods for correcting misaligned teeth.
Advantages of Invisalign
Compared to alternative types of braces, Invisalign offers several advantages.
First, the clear plastic aligners used are barely noticeable to others.
